We had a very good turnout for the June meeting, despite the inclement weather. Rye local, David Trunfull gave a very engaging presentation on his memories of Rye from 1955-1970. His presentation was filled with lots of very interesting photos of the people and places in Rye. David also provided some interesting anecdotes about living in Rye during that time. As many of our members were also Rye locals during that time, the presentation resonated well with the audience. David is kindly donating a copy of his presentation for our Society record.
Well done David for putting together such a good presentation. It was very much appreciated.

NB. There was a technical hitch and unfortunately not all the slides that David wanted to show were available on the day. Subsequently, David has provided those missing segments and you will be able to see them in the article headed “Rye Memories 1955 to 1970 by David Trunfull” in the next edition of the newsletter.
