Meeting – Feb 2025

The first monthly meeting of the year was held on Monday 24th February at our usual venue, St Andrew’s Church Hall. We are very grateful to have the use of this venue again this year and thanks go to St Andrew’s Anglican Church for allowing us the use of this excellent facility.

Members hadn’t gathered together since our 2024 end-of-year function and everyone certainly made the most of the opportunity to have a jolly good catch-up! The President welcomed members back after the break and briefly advised on general Society matters. Unfortunately, our scheduled guest speaker had to withdraw but we were fortunate that our own Ian McBeath stepped into the breach. Ian’s very interesting topic was “The Confessions of a Misspent Youth”. It was most enlightening and there was many a chuckle to be heard throughout the talk. We certainly learned about another side to Ian!

Thank you, Ian for sharing.
