End of Year Function
November 24th saw the Rye Historical Society celebrate Christmas! Somewhat early, but everyone got into the Christmas spirit. This wasn’t a time for updates, reports, notices about the Society – it was purely a time to get together with friends and enjoy each others company.
We held our traditional Trivia Quiz which everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy. Ian McBeath provided the questions and also did a great job as Quiz Master. Thank you Ian.
We must have all been very good throughout the year as we had a visit from Santa! He was a very jolly Santa who entertained members with his jokes as well as providing a gift for everyone.
The table decorations made the hall look very festive and the combination of good company, festive music, and wonderful food and drinks made for a very relaxed and happy occasion. Thanks once again go to Prue and Chris for looking after the catering side of things so well.
We hope the Rye Historical Society Christmas Party started off the Festive Season well for all our members.
